People-oriented, cooperation and mutual benefit, jointly create sustainable value of E-BI
Looking back on 2023, the epidemic and climate change still occupy most of the discussion space. While global climate action is in the ascendant, the epidemic has also accelerated people's reflections on life, work and even social relations. Facing the impact of extreme climate, people clearly realize that every decision made now is the key to the survival of species on the earth, and every effort invested will become an important cornerstone for the development of future generations. In a critical era of human history, all walks of life have high expectations for what role and responsibility enterprises should play in this transition process. As early as before the epidemic, at the U.S. Business Roundtable in August 2021, two hundred CEOs, including the CEO of Apple and the chairman of Amazon, jointly issued the "Purpose of the Enterprise", emphasizing that the interests of shareholders are no longer the biggest goal pursued by enterprises. The significance of an enterprise is to create long-term sustainable value for its stakeholders. Half a year after the declaration was released, we encountered the COVID-19 epidemic that impacted the global economy and public health. How an enterprise's sustainability and resilience can break through in a rapidly changing and infinite game, and how it builds trust with its stakeholders has become an issue for everyone. focus on core competencies. Building cooperation and trust between people has always been the strength of E-BI people. Over the past 25 years, we believe that enterprises are one of the most important actors in sustainable engineering. They are not only shareholders, but also the nine major stakeholders of E-BI, including employees, customers, suppliers, investors, government agencies, and non-profit organizations. Organizations, research institutions, communities, and media are all important communication targets. When E-BI promotes transformation and establishes a people-oriented corporate culture, we are also building a platform that starts from E-BI itself and can connect and prosper with all stakeholders.
Working with the supply chain to improve carbon management
In terms of carbon reduction actions, the E-BI team takes the strict international science-based carbon reduction target SBT as the main axis and promises to achieve the goal of reducing carbon emissions per unit of revenue by 15% in 2025. When E-BI promotes energy creation and energy conservation, the approach adopted is to work closely with customers and supplier partners to create resilience in the overall supply chain through mutually beneficial solutions. In 2023, E-BI will combine external resources to assist supplier partners in reducing carbon emissions, propose specific improvement plans, and simultaneously launch a sustainable supply chain green transformation project, inviting supply chain members to conduct organizational greenhouse gas emissions and product carbon footprint inspections. We not only focus on achieving the goal of sustainable development of E-BI, but also care about how to drive partners in the value chain to improve together on the way to achieving the goal. Taking cooperation, trust, and mutual benefit as its core is an important reason why E-BI can quickly diversify its layout and flexibly deploy production management in the face of global material shortages and uncertainty in raw material prices.
Inclusive and people-oriented corporate culture
It is not easy to push stakeholders to move forward together, and it requires a lot of time to build consensus and trust. When the epidemic hit and the current situation changed, because of our close cooperative relationship, our stakeholders immediately trusted E-BI and proposed the best win-win solution. People are the foundation of all our efforts, and talents are also the most important asset of E-BI. This is an era full of challenges, but also an era full of opportunities. E-BI hopes to become the soil and cultivate a garden full of dreams for young people. In 2023, E-BI aims to be open, diverse, and inclusive, promote organizational transformation, and create a free and open development space for young colleagues. Monthly birthday parties, annual expansion training, more than 30 hours of professional training per person, and trips where family members are invited to participate Activities and year-end celebrations, etc., make the work and life of our colleagues colorful and diverse. To build the core team of E-BI.
The spirit of cooperation and mutual benefit
Moving towards sustainability requires a spirit of cooperation, which is also the best demonstration of E-BI's belief. E-BI has experienced rapid iterations over the past two decades and has always maintained a certain level of profitability. Even in the face of high challenges arising from the epidemic and global supply chains, all colleagues have overcome all difficulties along the way and regarded challenges as opportunities for self-refinement. Combining internal and external partners, we have developed new perspectives and capabilities, making E-BI's operating physique more resilient and competitive, and also reached a new historical high. E-BI has always been a global manufacturing expert. We are familiar with global concurrent engineering solutions. We hope to use our world-wide professional design and manufacturing capabilities to quickly test customers' dreams of innovative products that change the world. This dream comes from the ideals and values that all our stakeholders hope to convey. It comes from the trust in E-BI from all walks of life.
